It's painfully obvious how few manufacturers ever seriously considered high performance or the convience of maintenance and repair. On all counts Porsches were superior. Most Porsche parts are elegant solutions to the functional roles they're designed for. For many older parts, the tooling to manufacture them no longer exists. And the cost of creating it, considering the small market, is prohibitive. That leaves used parts. These aren't parts you buy used, because you can't afford to buy new. 'New' doesn't exist. Putting them back in service in another car is very satisfying.They're the perfect answer to the customer's need, provided, without the expense of additional energy, material or labor to create it. And a little automotive history stays on the road.
