How did you get into the auto parts/salvage business?

Starting college I had a part time job at a place called "Parts Central". It was in Berkeley at the lower end of Gilman St. They were doing very well as an 'european only' salvage yard. I worked there through my second year when I was drafted. Two years later I returned to work the summer, intending to start school again in the fall. Fall came and went, I was having a great time... From '70 to '78 I learned the business hands on: selling, buying, pulling, accounting and customer relations.
