The right part: Many Porsche models allow the interchanging of
engines, transmissions and chassis, creating combinations of different
model(s)/year(s) in the same vehicle. There are subtle differences
between and within model years, types and factory options. Identifying the
correct part (or perhaps a better performing compatible part from a later
car) is a matter of experience that cannot be learned simply by referring to parts diagrams.
